Welcome to Niwot!

Hello! My name is Susie Allen, and I am your host for the Niwot community genealogy pages for the Boulder County USGenWeb genealogy site part of the Colorado GenWeb project. Here you will find some history on the town from its founding, cemetery listings and photos, and contact information for local churches and libraries. If you would like to contact me for questions or further information, please feel free to email. Thank you for visiting!

Niwot - "Left Hand" - began with gold mining, then a few farms, and finally flourished when the railroad was built and goods could be kept fresh for longer trips to market. Today it is reknowned for its village charm, historic preservation, and antiques shopping. Niwot is midway on the 12-mile stretch between Boulder and Longmont, on Hwy 119.
